The heart of a house is its kitchen and especially those who cook good food in it …
It’s a job that always delights everyone’s taste buds, so if you like to cook you’re expected to do so.
The kitchen also includes the management of food stocks and the preparation of menus so if you are not a cordon bleu but you are an organized person you can also join the kitchen team!
It is the hospitality team that prepares the rooms and welcomes the groups that we receive. The people wishing to stay with us will first be in contact with them. They are our ambassadors to these people who often do not know YWAM.
The team needs people who are sociable, welcoming, who like to decorate the houses to receive people in the best way. A sense of decoration and aesthetics could help.
We have the usufruct of 5 houses in a beautiful Champagne village. It is a gift that must be maintained. You will work in a team and if you don’t know anything about it you will have the opportunity to be trained by people who know the building trade. The work includes several areas:
- Building maintenance: minor repairs (light fixtures, toilet flushes, door handles…)
- Exterior maintenance: tree trimming, lawn mowing, vegetable gardening, etc.
- Structural work: walls, roofing, …
We have several schools that could need you:
- Discipleship Training School (DTS)
- Foundations for Counseling Ministry (FCM)
- Bible Core Course (BCC)
- or the School of Biblical Christian Worldview (SBCW)
Don’t forget that at YWAM there are several requirements to mentor a school: first of all, you must have done a Discipleship Training School (DTS) and secondly, you must have done the school you would like to mentor.
You may be asked to take our leadership training, the B2B, which lasts two and a half weeks. This will give you the keys to help you in your role as a leader.
