A UNIVERSITY LIKE NO OTHER
University
Of the
Nations
The University of the Nations is an international training institute with 600 sites on every continent and in 160 countries.

This university uses the credit system. It enables students to follow a modular curriculum over several years, leading to an Associate of Arts / Business / Communication /…, a Bachelor of Arts / Business / Communication/… or a Master of Arts /Business / Communication / …. (licence) or a “Master of Arts/Business/Communication/…”. (master). In this way, after successfully completing a DTS, students can continue their studies with training modules lasting 12 weeks or more, sometimes accompanied by practical work placements. Modules usually correspond to training schools, and can be combined in any order, both in terms of duration and geography.
With the Université Des Nations, students develop a Christian vision of the world. The ultimate aim is to prepare them for concrete action in the various spheres of society. Students wishing to obtain a degree can therefore train in a variety of fields, and can choose between the University’s different faculties.

NON-TRADITIONAL CLASSROOMS
The University of the Nations takes a global, intercultural and flexible approach to training. Around 17,500 students a year attend one or more courses recorded in over 97 languages and available at over 600 locations on every continent. Our training combines elements of formal and non-formal education, with a commitment to worship God in spirit and truth in all we do.

OUR différence
Thanks to the modular system, students benefit from the knowledge and skills of resident and visiting resource teachers whose values are in line with those of UdN and YWAM. Resource teachers come for one or more weeks to teach in their field of expertise. Some hold teaching positions at other colleges or universities, while others are authors, pastors, missionaries, scientists or other professionals. Recognized nationally or internationally for their expertise in a disciplinary field, these resource teachers bring richness and diversity to campus life. With the inclusion of resource teachers, course quality does not depend on one teacher, but on several specialized teachers. What’s more, visiting professors are available for private consultations in areas of particular interest to students
OUR histoRY
The University of the Nations :
Pacific and Asia Christian University (PACU) was founded in 1978 in Kona, Hawaii, USA. Its purpose was to prepare students to put the love of Christ into practice, and to teach others how to make disciples of all nations, in all spheres of society. A guide to its development was then written, with the aim of creating 7 faculties and several multidisciplinary centers, which would develop schools, seminars, and other training modules addressing these subjects. A team of planners and architects then carefully prepared a general plan for the Campus, with the aim of providing the best possible environment in which to put the University’s core values into practice.
Schools soon sprang up in many nations and on 6 continents. Many of these schools had links with PACU. However, local and regional names and designations no longer reflected the global scope or unity of the various higher-level activities. The Board of Directors unanimously adopted a new name, University of the Nations ( UofN ), when they met in 1988. The official name change took place on June 2, 1989.
The UofN is unique in the international scope of its missionary training. The University has training centers in 160 nations, and in over 600 locations on every continent. As the systems of national accreditation agencies differ enormously from country to country, UdN has not yet applied for accreditation by a specific nation.
